Contest Rules

  1. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN THE CONTEST (“CONTEST”). Entry into this Contest constitutes your acceptance of these Official Rules.
  2. ELIGIBILITY Open to persons with a valid email address and mailing address, except for employees or contractors of ATMTA, Inc. ("Sponsor"), their affiliates, subsidiaries, and agencies (collectively “Promotion Parties”), and members of their immediate family or persons living in the same household. Void where prohibited.

  4. HOW TO ENTER Navigate to the COPA Submission Form for the Council of Peace Assembly Contest and follow the on-screen entry instructions. Each DAC may enter only once via a single DAC Leader. COPA Submission Form
    1. All entries must be received on Sponsor’s servers by July 17th.
  5. CONTEST RULES On TBD, DAC Leaders should go to the Star Atlas Discord. Each DAC that submitted an eligible entry will have the opportunity to have its DAC Leader present.
    1. All entries must be the original work of the DAC and must not infringe upon the copyrights, trademarks, rights of privacy, publicity, or other intellectual property or other rights of any person and must not violate any law.
    2. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any entry for any reason, in its sole and absolute discretion.
    3. Odds of winning depend on the number of entries received.
  6. JUDGING CRITERIA All entries will be judged based on the judges’ determination of originality, cleverness, humor, popular reaction, and other criteria described on the contest page. https://copa.staratlas.com/
    1. Sponsor shall select the judges in its sole and absolute discretion.
    2. There will be up to three DAC Leaders selected as winners (“Winners”) by the judges.
  7. WINNER NOTIFICATION Winners will be determined at the conclusion of the Contest and will be notified by Discord direct message and/or by email. Winners will be required to provide a mailing address which will be used to fulfill the prize and ensure eligibility to receive the prize. At the discretion of Sponsor, a Winner may be disqualified if not eligible based on the eligibility requirements set forth above. In the event it is determined that a Winner has not complied with these Official Rules, has failed to execute and return any required documents within the specified time period, has made false statements or a prize notification is returned as undeliverable, then the winner will be disqualified and at Sponsor’s sole discretion, the entry with the next highest score may then be declared an alternate Winner.
  8. PRIZE & APPROXIMATE RETAIL VALUE Number of winners, prize, and approximate retail value (“ARV”) are outlined on the contest page. https://copa.staratlas.com/
    1. Winner is solely responsible for all expenses, costs, or fees associated with transportation and acceptance and/or use of the prize not specified herein as being awarded, including without limitation, any and all taxes (if any).
    2. Winner is not a recipient of a prize until verified as the Winner by the Sponsor or judges.
    3. Upon fulfilling prize delivery, Sponsor will be deemed to have awarded the prize to the Winner and such Winner assumes full responsibility for the prize.
    4. Sponsor reserves the right to, at its discretion, reschedule the Contest, entry, and/or end dates, modify the entry procedures, or cancel the Contest.
    5. Prize(s) are not redeemable for cash. Substitution or transfer of a prize by Winner is not permitted. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value.
  9. GENERAL CONDITIONS Winning constitutes permission (except where prohibited by law) to use Winner’s name, Winner’s DAC’s name, Winner’s DAC’s logo and/or website, prize won, and Discord username (all at Sponsor’s discretion) for future advertising/publicity in any and all media now or hereafter devised throughout the world in perpetuity, without additional compensation, notification or permission. The Sponsor and Released Parties are not responsible for lost, late, misdirected, damaged, corrupted, or garbled entries or for technical issues. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any entry and terminate the Contest if tampering or technical issues arise. Entries from multiple users of the same email address will be resolved by determining the authorized account holder. Sponsor may seek damages and disqualify contestants found attempting to undermine the Contest.
  10. ASSIGNMENT OF RIGHTS By submitting an Entry, contestant assigns to Sponsor all rights in their submission as a “work made for hire.” If not assignable, contestant grants Sponsor an irrevocable license. Contestants waive claims over similarities between entries and Sponsor’s existing or future content. Sponsor bears no liability for copyright issues.
  11. MISCELLANEOUS CONDITIONS Failure to comply with these Official Rules may result in disqualification from the Contest. Sponsor reserves the right to permanently disqualify any person it believes has intentionally violated these Official Rules. Contest is subject to all federal, state, and local laws and regulations.   13. ARBITRATION & CHOICE OF LAW Contestants agree that all disputes related to the Contest shall be resolved individually and by final and binding arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association. The Federal Arbitration Act governs the arbitration. Contestants waive any right to claim punitive, incidental, or consequential damages. All disputes shall be governed by New York State law without regard to choice of law rules.
